"Our relationship with Colchester Events goes from strength to strength. We value Colchester as a venue and the joined up working and can-do attitude of the team ensures we can continue to develop our audiences and events in the town."
Joe Sharphouse, Head of Sales and Marketing, Liz Hobbs Group Ltd.
"As Chairman of King Coel's Kittens Charitable fundraising group, organising the annual fireworks spectacular in Castle Park, I have worked alongside the Colchester Events team since they were set up. The team is reliable, dedicated, committed and professional in their role of supporting events in the town."
Jacqueline Bowis, Kings Coels Kittens Fireworks
"Charter Hall presents a spacious and well-located venue which offers many possibilities to producers. From a logistical sense it’s extremely accessible and boasts a huge carpark right outside of the loading doors, offering an easy lift to the stage. It’s great to see the development of a new type of venue that caters to a wide audience who deserve an array of good quality, diverse entertainment."
Matt Brinkler, Producer at Red Entertainment
"The team at Charter Hall were a pleasure to work with for our recent tour date in Colchester. Great stage size, good tech team and all the facilities required for a touring production. The show sold out faster than anticipated as well, so all round a good venue to work with."
Simeon Entwistle, Promoter & TM, The Rock Orchestra
"The ‘Music of the Spheres’ event was a great success in Castle Park. The team at Colchester Events did a great job presenting the site with really good PR and security. We had excellent support throughout and having such a lovely site being so professionally managed meant that our artistic presentation ran very smoothly. When everything is in place and every detail thought about, it means that the actual artistic and music part of the event always runs well too."
Simon Desorgher, Eye Music
"The move from Castle Park to the Old Heath Recreation Ground worked out well for us. It’s a great blank canvas location in the hub of the fantastic New Town community - which provides the perfect demographic for a Nearly Festival event. Many new customers live within walking distance of the venue. Due to the size of the Recreation Ground we can scale the event boundary up or down according to the attendance. We can also provide an ample event car park next to our main entrance. As always we like to close with respectable curfew times and with some daylight for safe exit, and for families to enjoy the headline sets. In 2021, it was pleasing to see over 75% of customers retained their tickets from the postponed 2020 event and, although not as busy as in 2019, the event had healthy numbers with approximately 3,000 in attendance over the two days."
Danny Banthorpe, Managing Director at The Nearly Festival
